Join us on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day—Family Radio will be continuously playing the hymns and carols you love to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas!

Our favorite tradition continues—gather your family and join Family Radio for a special presentation of Handel’s Messiah, aired in its entirety, on Christmas day, at 9 p.m. EST / 8 p.m. PST!

We also have a very special Sing For Joy produced by St. Olaf College, bringing you the best of the recent Christmas Festival performances. You can hear this 30 minute music program on Friday, December 23, at 8:05 p.m. EST / 7:05 p.m. PST, then again on Saturday, December 24, at 7:30 p.m. EST / 6:30 p.m. PST, and finally on Sunday, December 25, at 4 p.m. EST / 3 p.m. PST.

Share Family Radio with family and friends or bless a stranger! Christmas on Family Radio is the best time to share the Good News of Jesus Christ!

Celebrate the Greatest Gift with the Greatest Carols!

  2. Playing continuous Christmas carols for over 1 month takes away from appreciating hearing them. They become monotonous and make me want to turn my radio off. I hope you’ll change this feature in 2023.

    1. Hi Michele, I understand what you are saying and you definitely have a very legitimate concern. Many stations begin playing Christmas songs even when Halloween is barely even over, and I often find that to be a bit excessive.

All this being said, I personally have no issue with Christmas carols on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and every day after that up until February 2. Various churches celebrate the 2nd of February as Presentation, Purification, or Candelmas Day depending on the church. Perhaps you and I can suggest adding an app feature which allows us to listen to the Christmas music when WE would like to listen! I love Family Radio and they have so much great music!

  3. Playing continuous Christmas carols for over 1 month brings me great joy! They take away my blues and help lift my spirit. After having worked all year, saving up my vacation time so I can take off for two weeks during this time, ( the most wonderful time of the year 🎄) I look forward to the carols. I hope Family Radio never changes this feature!
