Many people think of John Calvin as a cold, calculating theologian. In reality, his scholarly work was driven by a pastoral desire to help Christians grow in their faith. W. Robert Godfrey introduces us to the real Calvin on this episode of Renewing Your Mind.

Thank you os much for providing this study for us! It is scholarly, earnest and helpful!
I recently heard Mr. Sproul introducing the topic of that day’s program. It was “All the people Jesus died for will be saved” I am not a theologian nor do I understand the Bible perfectly but I know the Word of God doesn’t contradict itself. Peter writes that it is not God’s will that any should perish. John writes that “God so loved the world that whosoever…” This preaching is to me heresy which is turning people asway from the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and encouraging his followers to be lukewarm. It discourages me from contributing to Family Radio.
