A Programming Shift to Make Listening Easier!

Happy New Year! Starting January first, Family Radio is making a small programming change to make listening easier for everyone. We’re adjusting our schedule, so programs are heard at the same local time in every time zone! Depending on where you listen, your program schedule might shift by an hour—but after that it will remain consistent day-to-day. Your same trusted Bible teaching programs will still be heard on Family Radio. As of January first, they will be on a clearer schedule, making it easier for everyone to listen!

To see which Family Radio programs air at what time, visit our updated program guide at FamilyRadio.org, or text GUIDE to 35919! Thank you for listening!

    1. Hi Tammy,
Look above your response. It states :
To see which Family Radio programs air at what time, visit our updated program guide at FamilyRadio.org, or text GUIDE to 35919! Thank you for listening!
click on the blue wording and it should take you there.
      I hope this helps!

  1. Please go back to the music family radio used to play at Christmas and during the year. The new added music is modern garbage.

Please keep worship studies at lunch and dinner times (Central Midwest).

Stop all these good]fy changes and stick with what worked and made family radio.

    1. I did see the blue button. I pushed it and nothing happens. I want to know when Legonair broadcast

    2. The new Foundation stream on the app has much of the music we missed, albeit not all of it. Many of the old songs, hymns and artists still go missing, including Whitney Phipps, Ethel Waters, Thomas Dorsey, etc….

    3. The Christmas music aired this past holiday was pleasantly different and I believe will attract a wider audience. It wasn’t too trendy nor did it feature untalented artists. In fact, great and gifted talents were featured that FR neglected to play in the past. I don’t want to hear “Frosty the Snowman” type songs either but the recently added songs brought welcome liveliness to the traditional Christmas music.

  2. Nice idea but I wish you would leave the schedule the same. I’m in California and I really enjoy listening to the Bible teaching during lunch, and while I’m preparing and eating dinner. I’m going to miss that.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to comment. Happy New Year!

  3. The new change takes a bit of adjustment, as I am in California, but you folks are brilliant. How great to know my fellow brothers and sisters in any state of the U.S. are hearing what I’m hearing, when I’m listening. Family Radio is a blessing and a treasure.

    1. Thank you, Mary for your compliments and for being a faithful listener. I pray that Family Radio continues to bless you and others! Happy New Year!

    1. Hi Nancy, Walk with the King will now be on at 6:45 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The programs will shift just one hour for those on the West Coast.

    2. Scarmento and San Deigo time would be my fall back if I missed any airings in my time zone, EST. I guess from here out, I will just have to miss Bible Quiz and Bob Cook.

  4. I’m also in California, so it’s a bit of an adjustment. I think this is brilliant. Knowing I’m listening to the same program or music that my brothers and sisters across the U.S. at the same time is wonderful. Family Radio is a treasure.

  5. If I go to familyradio.org both of those links will allow me to download or open the new schedule with Drive. But they don’t work at all in the app (Android).

  6. I really like the old way, the options to choose what I want may not be what I need, so I liked just listening to what and who came next whether speakers, music,or a short thought. We have tomany opportunities to of self.

  7. Have “Dr. Barnhouse and the Bible” with Dr. Donald Grey Barnhouse, and “The Bible Study Hour” with Dr. James Boice, been discontinued? I don’t see them listed. They have long been two of my favorite programs on Family Radio, and I would be most disappointed if they’re gone.

    1. Hello Rick,
Dr. Boice and the Bible Study Hour will continue to be aired at 10 a.m. on Sunday mornings on Family Radio.
Barnhouse and the Bible has been moved to our Foundations channel and will be aired 7 days a week,
We are working to continue to bring some favorite past shows to Foundations, like Spurgeon airing 7 days a week.
Thank you and Happy New Year!

  8. I live on the West Coast. and changing
the programs I listen to I may not be able
listen to as I retire early and rise early.
During the day just does not work.
Is the new programming set in stone
    or can we go back.
How about just moving a half hour.
I contribute to fund these programs and
the station as well. I am voicing my
    concern and hopefully if
enough of us voice are displeasure
    you will change it back.
So who does the change make it
easier for, the station I presume,
certainly not me and if I am not able
to listen to my daily programs , I may
    not wish to contribute further
and I say this not to be hurtful, just truthful.
    William

  9. To Danielle @ FR:

As a FR listener for decades, I have noticed that there is no longer a live Prayer Time program that was aired for many decades, going back to the beginiing of FR in the 50’s. Is this correct? If so, I think this is because praying for one another has taken on the format of prayer requests being done in an online format that past few years.

    1. You are talking right! I soooo miss Prayer Time. What a wonderful live program it was! It was a bkessing to hear mine and others orayer requests and uodates on other listeners’ petitions! I have forgetten the orignial male host’s name, but I remember Judy and Michael Wood.

  10. I just looked at the new schedule. It seems there’ll be a lot of talking. I know it’s been ages since these programs have stopped airing but is it possible to bring back Unshackled and the Saturday Morning children’s programs? I also noticed there’s a lot of “new music” being played. They have changed the sound of Family Radio. Please reduce the amount of them being played and return to the original songs/sound of FR.

    1. Hi Nadya, the current change in programming has not changed the content of shows, just the time they air. I’m passing along your comments to our programming team. I know they’ve been trying to discover recordings of original content from Family Radio to add to our Foundations channel, and unfortunately, we have been unable to find any copies of them in the avenues we are exploring. Our program director is trying to bring that original content for our loyal listeners! Thank you and Happy New Year!

      1. I have asked and continue to wonder what did the powerrs that be do with all the original recordings that were only on vinyl and probably cassette that Family Radio owned before the changes started way back in like 2014. I know for a surity that thr company owned much music on vinyl as many tmes I would write in to find out what was played and I would receive that info and was told that the recording was on vinyl. The announcer on over nights would say the same. So where did all that music go????

  11. To your family radio,
I live in Colorado, several office listen to the Bible quiz at 7:30 a.m. mountain Time.
When will the Bible crispy aired for us in Colorado.
Are you now using Eastern Time
The program guide doesn’t list anytime soon.
    Thank you very much

    1. Hi Nora,
We have taken out the need to figure out time zones for stations. The program guide will be in your time zone, so the Bible Quiz will be at 7:30 and 9:25 each morning. The only issue we are currently working on is that in our app, we don’t have a streaming station for mountain time, so if you pick a station that is on central or west coast time, you’ll need to add or subtract an hour to account for the time zones. Our engineers are working to resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you and Happy New Year!

      1. Thank you for the explanation Daniella.
So many of us love the Bible Quiz.
And many blessings to the engineers for working as hard as they are. 😊

  12. The daily reading of the Scriptures in the New King James Version was read each Saturday around 12:40 CST and on week nights around 7:40 CST. In addition in could hear the same Scriptures read again on any of your west coast stations two hours later (CST). Now , I can’t found them on any of your stations. Please advise .

  13. I can’t get the new program times. I get only a white screen when I click on “2026 PROGRAM GUIDE “

  14. If Dr. Barnhouse and the Bible is no longer on this station, I will no longer be able to support this station monthly. It was the only program I regularly listened to, and don’t understand why it has been dropped.

  15. I humbly believe that you guys have dropped the ball with these new schedule. You not only changed the timing of programs but also dropped popular programs which aired on your station. For example, Dr Barnhouse and the Bible. Radio listeners cannot access your Foundations stream and therefore won’t be able to hear Dr Barnhouse’s sermons. Please put his broadcast back on the main channel so we can enjoy his sermons. You have no idea of the magnitude of the disruptions and unpopularity you have caused with these changes to your schedule.

  16. The music was better back in the day. Also, there’s a new schedule is not good. One size does not fit all we all don’t get up at the same time across the nation if you wanna lose half of your listening audience… I will listen to BBN traditional music And respecting different time zones

  17. The music was better back in the day. Also, the new schedule is not good. One size does not fit all. We all don’t get up at the same time across the nation. If you wanna lose half of your listening audience… I will listen to who are respectful of different time zones and more conservative traditional Christian music.

    1. Good afternoon Blaine,
We are sorry for the frustrations. Prior to Jan 1, 2026, we only had two time zones that we based programming on, Eastern and Central, but we’ve updated our nationwide programming to accommodate all four time zones. We hope this change would serve our listeners better going forward with programming airing at times for each time zone’s higher listening times. I’ve passed on your comment to our programming team regarding the music.
Thank you, and happy New Year!

  18. Good Morning,
I read the previous comments with interest. I would like to thank the Family Radio Ministry for their responsiveness to its’ listeners, such as expanding the radio streams to be all four time zones.

Several have spoken of the Family Radio Foundations Stream and content which is unique to that stream. Is there a guide available that lists programs and times? I find that my listening moves from our local station to the streaming content during the day. Such a guide would be appreciated.

Thank you for your faithfulness to the LORD in your work! We are blessed by your labors!
