Have you parents ever looked at what type of a filter you use to instruct your children? A filter is to let the good things flow through and to retain the bad things. We all know, as parents, there are things that we have seen and have gone through that we hope our children will never have to. So we, as godly parents, make sure that they know that there is a filter they can use to run through everything they come across in life. That filter is the Word of God. It is the only thing that can live up to being the perfect filtering device that God has given to a man or women to be godly parents. The perfect filter must be able to perform the following:
MUST NOT HAVE ANY HOLES IN IT
Filters must be able to filter the good from the bad. If you, as a parent, have the Bible as your filter, then you can expect clean water to be placed in your child, or your cup, if you will. The Bible is the only thing that is known to be free of holes.
MUST FIT ALL TYPE OF SYSTEMS
The size of the filter is important because it must fit tight to keep things from going over or around the filter. The Bible is sent not to the rich or the poor, the Gentile or the Jews, but to all mankind. Everyone can use it to filter their life.
MUST BE REUSABLE
The good thing about the Word of God is that it never becomes unusable. It is good for the lifetime of everyone. You will never have to look for some better or cleaner system to produce a clean product. It will never be outdated.
