A Word To The Unsaved

All men are born defiled with sin. Every day they live they increase and aggravate their guilt before God. The human heart is deceitful above all else. Men love themselves and refuse to judge themselves according to God’s laws, always seeking to lessen or ignore their guilt. They would be clean when they are filthy. They would be pure when they are vile. They would be saved when they are lost. All such deception ends at death, but then it is too late. How long will you continue to live in deceit? The profane sinner deceives himself by not believing that God hates all sin and will punish it just as He has promised. The moral sinner deceives himself by his lack of understanding that inner motives are critical to God, not just outward forms of worship. How long will you live in self-deception? How long will you continue cherishing a good opinion of yourself, when God is filled with anger toward you for your wickedness?
