Reaching the Next Generation Through New Opportunities

Ban Counselors July 22-27

At Family Radio, our mission has always been clear: to proclaim the Gospel and share the hope found in Jesus Christ. While that mission never changes, the ways people engage with media continue to evolve.

That's one reason we're excited to support Bad Counselors, a new faith-based comedy film produced by our sister ministry, Loam Entertainment. While the movie may look different from traditional Family Radio programming, it represents an important opportunity to reach audiences—especially younger generations—who may never tune into Christian radio, attend church regularly, or seek out explicitly faith-based content.

Through humor, relatable characters, and a story centered on grace, redemption, and second chances, Bad Counselors meets people where they are. The film explores themes that point to the transforming power of God's grace and opens doors for meaningful conversations about faith.

Scripture reminds us of the importance of reaching the next generation with God's truth: "We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and His strength and His wonderful works that He has done" (Psalm 78:4, NKJV).

Supporting Bad Counselors does not change Family Radio's mission—it expands opportunities to fulfill it. Just as Family Radio uses broadcasting and digital media to share biblical truth, Loam Entertainment uses storytelling and film to engage audiences in new ways. Together, we share a common vision: introducing people to the hope of Jesus Christ.

The Apostle Paul wrote, "I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some. Now this I do for the gospel's sake" (1 Corinthians 9:22-23, NKJV). As culture changes, we remain committed to finding faithful ways to share the unchanging message of the Gospel.

At Family Radio, we’re thrilled to support Loam Entertainment as they reach to connect with people who otherwise may never step into a church building or home Bible study. Please pray with us that the Lord uses Bad Counselors to build relational bridges so the lost can find salvation in Jesus Christ. Thank you!

FAQ

Family Radio's mission is to proclaim the Gospel and reach people with the hope found in Jesus Christ. As we support Bad Counselors, a new film from our sister ministry Loam Entertainment, some listeners may have questions about the movie, our involvement, and how it aligns with our mission. We hope the answers below provide helpful context and insight into this opportunity to reach the next generation with the message of God's grace.

What is Bad Counselors?

Bad Counselors is a new faith-based comedy film produced by Loam Entertainment that follows two college students who find themselves serving at a Christian youth camp after getting into trouble. Through humor, relationships, and unexpected experiences, the story explores themes of grace, redemption, second chances, and personal transformation. The film will be released in theaters nationwide in July 2026.

Why would Family Radio support entertainment content?

People encounter truth through many different forms of media. For decades, Family Radio has used radio broadcasting to share biblical truth. Today, media opportunities include film, digital content, streaming, social media, and other platforms.

As media habits continue to change, Family Radio believes it is important to explore additional ways to connect people with Gospel-centered messages. Entertainment can open doors for conversations about faith, purpose, forgiveness, and God's grace that might not happen through traditional ministry channels alone.

I Corinthians 9:19-23 “I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.”

What is the relationship between Family Radio and Loam Entertainment?

Family Radio and Loam Entertainment are sister organizations operating under the same parent ministry, Loam Media.

While each organization has a distinct mission and audience focus, both share a common commitment to advancing the Gospel and reaching people with Christ-centered messages.

Family Radio continues to focus on radio broadcasting and biblical teaching, while Loam Entertainment develops films and entertainment projects designed to engage broader audiences through storytelling.

1 Corinthians 12:4-6 "There are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of ministries, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of activities, but it is the same God who works all in all."

What role did Family Radio play in the movie?

Family Radio is not the producer, studio, or distributor of Bad Counselors. The film was developed and produced by Loam Entertainment and its production partners. Family Radio's role is to support the broader ministry vision of reaching people through multiple forms of media and to help create awareness of projects that align with our shared mission.

Family Radio is helping inform listeners and supporters about the film because of its connection to our sister ministry and its potential to engage audiences who may not otherwise encounter Gospel-centered themes.

2 Timothy 2:2 "And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."

What do Family Radio and Loam Entertainment ultimately hope to accomplish?

Both organizations share a common vision: reaching people with the hope of Jesus Christ.

Family Radio does this through broadcasting, teaching, and discipleship. Loam Entertainment seeks to do this through storytelling and entertainment that can engage audiences beyond traditional Christian media.

Together, these complementary efforts help extend Gospel influence across generations and media platforms, creating more opportunities for people to encounter truth, grace, and the message of Christ.

Psalm 96:3 "Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples."

How do I find a theatre near me?

Bad Counselors will be in theatres nationwide July 22-27, 2026. Participating theater locations and tickets can be purchased through the official Bad Couselors website starting on June 16.

We hope you will share this movie with the youth in your life, including family, friends, and youth ministries at your church!
