Philippians 4:8 is one of those tremendous statements in the Bible that all of us ought to read from time to time, and then ask ourselves: “How do I stand in the face of this verse?’ We read here:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”
This is a powerful verse that tells us what ought to be the mindset of those who have become right before God. We can examine our thinking and ask, “How do we measure up to this verse?
We can learn a whole lot about whether we are living to God’s glory or not as we examine our thinking in light of Philippians 4:8.
