God’s Instruction in Reading the Bible

Oct 10, 2016

Here is how God directs us in reading the Sacred Scriptures—the truth that is found only in His words.

Unfortunately, unregenerate man tries to twist the scriptures to fit their abominable ideas.

We read in Isaiah 28:10, “For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little.”

1 Corinthians 1:12 states, “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth…comparing spiritual things with spiritual”

And in 2 Timothy 2:15 we read, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”

Some people consider Jesus as only a man and never a God. Others perceive Him to be only a minor God, and still others comprehend Jesus to be the Father and the Holy Spirit. However, the Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is both God and man, the 2nd person of the Trinity.
