Job Summary
Loam Media/Family Radio is looking for a Major Gifts Officer with solid fundraising experience and a strong commitment to serving Jesus Christ in reaching more people with God’s Word. As our Major Gifts Officer you will design, develop, and implement our major gift program across all media platforms. You will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with existing major gift donors, as well as identifying new prospects. An ability to empathize with donors and clearly communicate our organization’s mission is key. The Major Gifts Officer will report to senior level donor development management.
As our Major Gifts Officer, you get to…
- Support our donors in accomplishing their philanthropic goals and ambitions through a relationship with our organization in all Loam Media subsidiaries
- Secure and increase major gifts year-over-year
- Manage systems and software to track and cultivate donors and prospects, including our donor database
- Manage existing portfolio of all major donors, including moving up mid-level donors to major donor status
- Collaborate with donor development senior management to align efforts and set goals for major donors in all Loam Media subsidiaries
- Build, manage, and execute major donor communications, including face-to-face where travel may be required.
- Lead and mentor mid-level/small donor development team member, including portfolio development support, strategic counsel, and donor communications.
- Create, manage, and execute multiple donor development strategies, events, and campaigns.
- Support donor strategies and messaging for on-air fundraising support drives for Family Radio subsidiary.
- Collaborate on all major donor fundraising initiatives across all departments and subsidiaries.
- Create a proactive Planned Giving program, including; IRA, Stock, and Estate giving.

- You have a strong background in major donor development with a proven track record in obtaining major donor gifts
- You have experience in donor event planning and execution
- You understand both the business and ministry aspects of fundraising
- You have excellent time management skills
- Fundraising messaging skills for radio, print, email, and other media channels is a plus
- On-air fundraising experience is a plus
