The Scriptures of the Word of God

Jesus Christ is God’s Incarnate Word—that is, God in human flesh.
He is God’s Ultimate Revelation to mankind and is the personification of the Bible, God’s Written Word.
The Word of God is eternal, and its purpose is God’s eternal salvation program for mankind:
Isaiah 40:8 says, “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth, but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
In Matthew 24:35 we read, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words—that is, Christ’s—shall not pass away.”
Ephesians 6:16-17 states, “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
And in Hebrews 4:12 we find these words, “For the word of God is quick—that is, living—and and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit—that is, the spiritual, and of the joints and marrow—that is, the physical], and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
