Jesus Christ was the Lamb Slain

In John 1:29, we read this amazing declaration by John the Baptist: “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, ‘Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.’”
In principle, the Lord Jesus Christ paid for the sins of His people even before He created this magnificently complex universe.
Revelation 13:8 states, “And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him—that is, the beast, or Satan—whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
The Lord Jesus was typified by all of the mandatory animal sacrifices throughout the Old Testament, but none is more closely associated with the Savior than the Passover Lamb, to which John alludes under Divine Inspiration.
