I Will Trust Him

In Job 13:15, we read, “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”

What is remarkable about this statement is that in can only be the reflection of one who has been known of God. Only the faith of the Lord Jesus Christ—true saving faith—could enable a person to utter a proposition of this magnitude.

It implies a deep, unswerving, trust in the God of the Bible that goes way beyond any outward show of religiosity—and goes right to the heart of the matter: how do I react when faced with testing, affliction, and trials? When I am reviled, do I revile back? When I am wronged, do I get angry, or worse yet, try to get even?

May I follow the Master as He who, “when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously.”

Again, Job 13:15 “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.”
