Born into what looked like a hopeless life, Jesus in His great mercy revealed the truth of the Bible to me. Knowing that I was so unworthy of it all, I cried to Him to save me, and He did. In 1977, He led me to listen to Family Radio, which was such a great help in my understanding of the Bible. I was twenty years old at the time. My life, my thinking, my values, and my heart were transformed. In 1982, I came to Family Radio headquarters, and Mr. Camping graciously hired me to work in the print shop.
I had a deep hunger to learn the Word of God, so I attended Bible college. In addition, many of the interpretive and theological principles I learned from Mr. Camping have been at the foundation of my study and walk with Christ. They led me to appreciate the inerrancy and authority of Scripture, as well as to seek out teachers who affirm the same.
I met my wife while I was at Family Radio. In 1986, I left Family Radio, got married, and went into the insurance world. My wife and I had three children, now grown. Through the years, my wife and I have put on worship services in assisted living facilities. I enjoy writing Gospel music as well. Presently, I am semi-retired. By the grace of God, Tom Evans gave me the privilege to come back to Family Radio and serve the body of Christ as host of Before the Dawn. My life is a testimony to the mercy and regenerative power of Jesus Christ.
To God be the glory!
