God Alone Created the World

God created all things—the world, and all the creatures that belong to it.
He attributes this work to Himself, as one of the particular glories of His Deity, exclusive of all the creatures.
As we read in Isaiah 44:24, “Thus saith the LORD, thy redeemer, and he that formed thee from the womb, ‘I am the LORD that maketh all things, that stretcheth forth the heavens alone, that spreadeth abroad the earth by myself.”
We also read in Isaiah 45:12, “I have made the earth, and created man upon it. I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.”
And Isaiah 40:12-13 states, “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance? Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor, hath taught him?”
And Job 9:8 asserts, “Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.”
These are magnificent descriptions of the creating power of God, and exceed everything of the kind that has been attempted by the pens of the greatest sages of antiquity.
