Feeding on the Word of God

We read in Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”
What was so astounding to the Jewish rulers and elders of that day were both the boldness of Peter and John, coupled with their understanding, of the Scriptures.
They marveled because these men had no formal training—and yet they possessed a wealth of Biblical comprehension—the result of having been with the Master Himself.
They had been feeding on the living Word of God, absorbing His wisdom, His knowledge, His understanding. They had come to understand the supreme value of both sitting at Jesus’ feet and hearing His Word, and, obeying it.
Are we doing that?
Again, Acts 4:13 “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.”
