Many involved with modern science deny that God created this world. Instead they believe in the theory of evolution. Most in the scientific community seem to believe that evolution is the answer to how this world and universe came into existence.
However, it seems very strange that such brilliant scientific minds (and I am not saying this
sarcastically–I do believe that very intelligent people have developed these ‘theories’ and earnestly believe them) hang on to such an absolutely ridiculous notion of the beginnings of man in the theory of evolution?
How is it possible that many intelligent people ‘religiously’ believe the universe is 13+ billion years old? How can well educated people believe things that certainly make a good fairy tale story (you know the princess kissing the frog and he becomes a prince is a Disney make believe story); but when (for all intents and purposes) scientists declare the princess kisses the frog, and then add a few million (or billion) years (shaking optional) and he turns into a prince–it somehow moves out of the realm of
fantasy and into the realm of scientific fact.
There must be a reason why enlightened thinkers of our modern times totally dismiss the truth of the Bible –for ideas that are as farfetched as anything imaginable? They claim they believe evolution is the answer due to an honest assessment of the physical facts. But the God that many in our modern scientific community reject is not so easily fooled. The Lord knows exactly why the most brilliant minds of mankind refuse to acknowledge Him:
Romans 1.18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;
19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath
shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and
Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
When verse 18 says that these men “hold the truth in unrighteousness” the word there means that they are ‘suppressing’ the truth. But why would man suppress the truth?
The answer is pretty simple: if they acknowledge the truth (which is testified to them daily by the creation all around them—witnessing to them that there is most definitely a Creator)–if they acknowledge that God made all this, then they must also realize that as a creature they are indeed subject to the One that created them. And they will realize that this Creator has given laws and
they have broken these laws. Which mean that they are sinners subject to the wrath of God.
This is unacceptable to many, therefore they concoct ridiculous theories like evolution and natural processes to try and explain what they see all around them. Many others in the world also desire that there be no God, so they are extremely willing to accept any other theory or option that proposes to do away with God. No matter how utterly foolish the ‘theory’ is.
John, science is fine in its limited sphere of knowledge. But sadly, some scientists have taken it upon themselves to be the answer men for things that have no knowledge of, nor ways of knowing.
